About Allison
Allison was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has been practicing yoga since 2002 after she was injured. Through practicing yoga she was able to rehabilitate her own body doing yoga. She has trained at world renowned Nosara Yoga institute in Costa Rica learning Interdisciplinary Yoga. She has a degree in Kinesiology and Occupational Therapy. She practices Occupational Therapy at the Stan Cassidy Rehabilitation Centre for people with neurological disorders such as spinal cord injuries, brain injury/concussion, multiple sclerosis, strokes, etc . She has a good understanding of how people move and how to accommodate for injuries and she works with many chronic pain patients. She lives with her two daughters in Fredericton. She enjoys being active playing tennis, pilates, skiing, biking, snowshoeing and of course doing yoga. Through her experience of teaching yoga, Allison has developed a passion to share her love for yoga so that people can learn how to heal their own bodies through body awareness.
